Teaching

My goal as a teacher is to create an environment where students feel comfortable and empowered to think critically. One of the greatest difficulties is to translate empirical findings into language that students can understand; I try to do this by finding activities that enable students to apply the tools I teach in class.

I have been teaching Strategic Management since 2018, where students get to apply the tools taught in class to a real-life business challenge presented by a corporate client. I also teach New Venture Design, which is an applied course that focuses on the creation, evaluation, development, and “launch” of a new business.

The Great Capstone Competition

The Great Capstone Competition takes place at the end of every semester, whereby the top students are selected to present their strategic analysis projects to the corporate client. One of the best parts of teaching is working closely with the selected teams in my classroom to get them ready for the big competition. I'm particularly proud of the fact that every semester I have mentored my students to the top 3 winning positions. It's wonderful to see students rewarded for their excellence.
